This is a show that we are very pumped for, as it will be the first time hosting the DJ Williams Band. DJ was named a monster on stage by Premier Guitar, who also described the six-stringer as "an inspiring and efficient and melodic soloist, with a warm sound and extraordinary technical proficiency," Williams' music crosses genres, melding seamlessly soul, rock and funk. He has carved a name for himself in the touring circuit as the lead guitarist for Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe and touring with his eclectic Richmond, VA, funk outfit, DJ Williams Projekt. His fleet-fingered playing has captured the hearts of music lovers across the globe, gracing both intimate small rock venues to large, prestigious music festivals spanning the US, Canada, and Europe. He’s also shared stages with music legends such as John Legend, Dave Matthews Band, George Clinton, John Oates, Warren Haynes, Ivan Neville, Big Daddy Kane, Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings, Soulive, Levon Helm, Slightly Stoopid, Robert Randolph, Slick Rick, George Clinton, so, as you can see, this guitarist/singer-songwriter and producer continues to leave an indelible mark on the music scene. He played every instrument on his latest EP, By Way of RVA, which is a six-track heartfelt homage to Richmond, VA, where Williams spent his formative years honing his versatile musical skills.
